17th Community Event report

On the 2nd of August 2026 we hosted our seventeenth Community Event on the topic of taxation. Whilst corporate tax rates have been set in previous laws, a general tax code has not been created in Vladastock. We had four citizens join in from both Europe and Australia for a night of catching up and politics.

In total there was ten questions given to our citizens, ranging from compulsory superannuation to what type of taxation system should we take inspiration from, that of Australia or that of Hong Kong. The debate generated centred around how class divides should be managed; the role of the wealthy in Vladastock’s ideal tax system and how best to look after working class people.

Overall, the night was a great success and will inform this administration’s efforts as writing on this law will begin shortly. After the topic at hand was covered, we stayed behind and learnt more about our latest citizen, for whom this Community Event was his first. It was both fun and insightful.
